First Endurance EFS Bar
For the first time, electrolyte supplementation takes place not in a drink or tablet but in a bar. The EFS bar features 250 calories and 10 grams of protein. But what sets toe EFS bar apart is the delivery of all five electrolytes and a mix of maltodextrins and simple sugars readily absorbed. Plus, First Endurance has made the bar in a surprisingly easy-to-digest (and tasty) peanut-butter chocolate-chip flavor.

Wait! Sports bars arenít supposed to taste this good.
1st Endurance EFS Sports Bar. Though there are still sports bars out there that taste like the cardboard box your new bike came in, 1st Endurance has decided that enough is enough. Rip open the Electrolyte Fuel System (EFS) bar and immediately enjoy some tasty goodness. Gone are the days when you had to ease into a bar and hope for the best-an acquired taste if you will. The bars have a powerful electrolyte blend and 1st Endurance claims it will improve energy and endurance, and improve glycogen resynthesis (see website for explanation). Each bar carries 250 calories, 40g of carbohydrates and taste as good as the dessert you had last night.

EFS Energy Bars
EFS stands for Electrolyte Fuel System, a concept that First Endurance first coined with its EFS powered drink formula. The EFS energy bar contains more than 1000 milligrams of five essential electrolytes, eliminating the need for additional electrolyte supplementation to avoid cramping. Even more refreshing, almost all of the bars ingredients can be easily recognized and many come from organic sources. no partially hydrogenated oil or high fructose corn syrup in this $2 bar. The bar provides 250 calories, 40 grams of carbohydrate, 10 grams of protein and 6 grams of fat.

First Endurance introduces electrolyte bars
Cyclists have been bombarded with a dizzying array of electrolyte-enhanced sports supplements recently, but to date, all have only been available in liquid or tablet form. In response, First Endurance has now introduced its Electrolyte Fuel System (EFS) energy bar, which combines the same formula as its extant EFS drink with natural and (where possible) organic ingredients in a solid form.

According to First Endurance, each EFS bar is loaded with a wealth of (legal!) performance-enhancing supplements. These include: all five electrolytes in athlete-specific levels (over 1000mg per bar in total) to prevent cramping and dehydration; clinically effective doses of the amino acids glutamine, leucine, isoleucine, and valine to improve glycogen synthesis and delay fatigue; 200% RDA of vitamin C to enhance immune function; and a unique mix of maltodextrins and simple sugars that is said to be more readily absorbed and used by the body.

In total, each bar provides 250 calories, 10g of protein, 40g of carbohydrates, and 6g of fat. While we canít attest to First Enduranceís performance claims, we can at least verify that its Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavor is not only easily digested, but tasty, too!
