Salt Lake City, UT. July 7, 2004- First Endurance is proud to sponsor three time Ironman winner Heather Gollnick with Optygen and Ultragen for the remainder of the 2004 racing season. Heather's first experience with First Endurance products took place at this years Wildflower ½ Ironman. Heather was very clear that she wanted a few months to trial First Endurance products before she can fully endorse them.
May 1st Wildflower ½ Ironman
Healther first used Ultragen following the Wildflower race and claimed that she felt noticeably better than expected the day after the race. "I took the Ultragen Recovery drink within 20 minutes of my 3rd place finish at Wildflower and really feel that it helped me recover much quicker than normal."
May 23rd Florida ½ Ironman
The Florida ½ Ironman was Heather's first race just three weeks after starting a full regimen of Optygen and Ultragen. Heather finished an impressive second place. The field in Florida featured some of the World's fastest women including Heather Fuhr, Lori Bowden, Katja Schumacher, Andrea Fischer. At the end of the day, only Lisa Bentley out-ran Heather. Heather had almost a perfect race and said she was excited that Optygen and Ultragen may be a factor jumping her up a level.
June 27th Ironman Couer D' Alene
Just three weeks after a serious bike accident that landed Heather into the Hospital, she still takes second overall. "I have been using First Endurance Products (Optygen and Ultragen) since I was introduced to the First Endurance products at Wildflower in May. I have continued to use Ultragen after all my hard training sessions and have noticed a significant improvement in my recovery time. I had already been taking Optygen for two months prior and truly believe that it helped my body recover from the stress of the crash. I went on to place 2nd at Ironman Couer D' Alene - thanks in large part to Optygen's ability to aid my body in dealing with the stress."
