Mixing it up at the 2002 HP Woman's Challenge
The First Endurance Cycling Team is mixing it up with the best female cyclists in the world at the 2002 HP Women's Challenge, an invitational stage race that covers 543.4 miles in only nine days. This year's event has an individual time-trial, a criterium and 7 road races. Considered the best and biggest women's bicycle race in North America, racers started in Boise, Idaho on June 15 and finish in Hyde Park, Idaho on June 23.
The team, racing under the Contender/Optygen.com name, is made up of four of the best female riders in Utah and is managed by Ryan Littlefield. The team mechanic for this grueling race is Chris Poepping.
