for St. George ½ Ironman
Salt Lake City, UT - October 6th, 2003 - First Endurance continues to support the triathlon racing community by signing up to become the title sponsor for the 2003 Kokopelli Long Course Triathlon. The second annual ½ Ironman race attracts the top triathletes from California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. The race (which will be held this October 25th in St. George, Utah) will start at the Quail Creek reservoir and make its way towards Zion National Park before looping back around and finishing in Hurricane Utah.
In its first year, the St. George race attracted quality triathletes from the Southwest region of the United States. The second annual race should have a larger turnout and faster finishes than the 2002 race. "We are excited to support the race community by offering cash and prizes to the winners of the First Endurance Long Course Triathlon." states Mike Fogarty, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing at First Endurance. "The Southwest region is one of the most competitive in the US with thousands of quality Long Course triathletes demanding great venue races." Fogarty further adds "We expect the First Endurance race to grow to be one of the top ½ Ironman distance races in the country."
