Amateurs Ryan DeCook and Aracelly Clouse take age-group titles

Whitmore had to real in Barb Lindquist and 2003 Xterra World Champion Melanie McQuaid en route to her over-all win. With Whitmore and McQuaid tied in the points race going in, it was a winner take all attitude. Using her off-road running skill Whitmore pulled away from the field and held of McQuaid to claim her 4th US National Championship Title. "The new Multi-V is awesome. I feel much more alert and awake throughout the day and I definitely feel a difference in my training and recovery".
