Richmond, VA July 3rd, 2005- First Endurance triathlete Jamie Whitmore extended her record to twenty-three Pro wins with a comeback effort over the 2003 Xterra World Champion Melanie McQuaid at the 2005 Xterra East coast championship in Richmond, Virginia. With only a 10K run remaining, Whitmore found herself behind by a minute and thirty seconds. Whitmore buried herself on the run (posting the fastest run of the day) and passed McQuaid to win the Xterra East Coast Championship.
"Over the last four weeks, I've raced in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy and Richmond. With Ultragen, I've been able to recover well from all my traveling, training and racing." Explains Whitmore as she prepares to race a 5th week straight in the mountainous Xterra Austria. "Ultragen is my secret weapon."
